What the editor offers
The editor includes crop and resize controls, selections, layers, typography, drawing tools, color adjustments, filters, cloning, erasing and common web image export formats. It is intended for students, creators, small businesses and anyone who needs to prepare an image without installing a large desktop application.
What this project adds
LumiPixel adds a distinct product interface around the editor, practical guides written for web-image workflows, an original aspect-ratio calculator, privacy and policy documentation, and a Cloudflare deployment layer that automatically follows the active domain. These additions are maintained separately from the upstream editing engine.
Why browser-based editing?
Modern browsers can perform complex image operations locally. Keeping the editing process on the device makes the tool faster to start and means LumiPixel does not need to receive a copy of every photo being edited.
Independence and credits
LumiPixel is an independent web tool built on the open-source miniPaint project. We do not claim authorship of miniPaint. Its MIT license, the source path and bundled dependency notices are listed on the open-source credits page. LumiPixel is not affiliated with Adobe, Google or Cloudflare.
